Helping You Get Back On The Road
Many people can lose their license or have their ability to drive restricted or revoked; I don’t judge people for why or how it happened. My name is Daryl Wood. I have focused my career on handling these cases for my clients and have developed a deep well of knowledge on Office of Hearings and Administrative Oversight (OHAO) and the Circuit Courts that process these cases.
My firm was one of the first firms to begin using Microsoft Teams for DLAD/OHAO hearings with the Secretary of State’s office, smoothly transitioning to the new normal for these cases. I continue to use these the Secretary of State’s electronic filing system (MILogin) because they bring speed and efficiency to my cases. Attorneys that do not take advantage of the MILogin system will experience weeks of delays at multiple phases of the driver license restoration process.
These hearings are no longer held in person with the Secretary of State. This allows me to represent individuals throughout the State of Michigan without experiencing transportation issues.
Through my network of referrals, I also help people who need criminal defense by making sure they get attorneys whom I trust with their cases.
Individualized Representation On A Personal Basis
My goal when working with new clients is to set clear and realistic expectations for how I can help them. I do not give people the runaround or offer false hope about what I can do, and I have earned a reputation for being “disarmingly straightforward” among my previous clients. However, this is what people look for when they come to me, because they know that they can depend on me and will never be passed off to a paralegal or secretary. My clients always work with me directly.
When you contact me, be sure to have a copy of your driving record so that I can review to make sure you are eligible to get your driving privileges restored at this time. Additionally, this will provide accurate dates of your prior convictions.. You can easily find it on the Michigan Secretary Of State’s website under online services, which is open to the public. You can also visit a Secretary of State branch office to get your driving record.
